what the ... ?
I know, I know. It's the first question a lot of people always ask, "what in the world is kevinhofer.com"?

This small piece of digital vanity began back in Y2K - yep, back during a time when we actually referred to "the year 2000" as Y2K - as a support tool in the job hunting process. At the time, my goal was to use the site as an extension of my resume to show off what I knew (and what I could do) in the hopes of landing a development job in the web space.

As it turns out, that plan worked and I did get a job at that time and have been working in the web space ever since. But over time, most of what was on the site became, well, useless. And it ultimately became a way for me to simply share photos with friends and family.

And that's why the site exists now. It's all about sharing. You'll still find loads of photos from family get togethers and fun events with friends (some would say too many). I have also added a section for "music" that will likely end up being the section that is updated most often. Over the last couple of years (and to the chagrin of many, I assume), I've famously flooded numerous email boxes with info about CD's I think you should buy and shows I think you should attend. Well, now instead of crowding your inbox with that stuff, it will all be posted and archived here.

If you run into any problems with the site - or if you have any ideas on how I can make it better - please let me know. You can drop me an email directly at email@kevinhofer.com, or use this contact form.
